From 1974 through 1977 Mickey
Mantle hosted an annual "Golf Fiesta"
tournament. The first year the
tournament sponsored by Seagram's took
place in Tres Vidas, Mexico. The
following three years, 1975, 1976, and
1977, the golf tournament was sponsored
by the now defunct Braniff Airlines.
The pewter (Armetale) plates were presented to
participants of the events that
featured the year and location. In 1975
the tournament was held in West End,
Grand Bahamas, 1976 it was held Kuilima,
Oahu, Hawaii. and in 1977, Key Largo,
Florida.
The front of the plate has "Mickey
Mantle" followed by - the Sponsor
"Seagram's" or "Braniff" arched over
the top and "Golf Fiesta" below. The
center features an enclosed golf club
face and ball with the year above,
and tournament location below. The
plates made in 1976 and 1977 have the
Mickey Mantle number 7 inside the ball.
The back of the plated has the
manufactures hallmark RWP, and
