The 1953 World Series was played
from September 30th, to October 5th,
with the 4-time defending champions New
York Yankees beating the Brooklyn
Dodgers, four games to two, for their
record 5th consecutive title. A World
Series press pass was issued to members
of the media covering the game which
included employees of a newspaper,
press, news, telegraph, photographic,
radio broadcasting or telecasting
service.
This 1953 World Series Yankee Stadium press pass was issued to a N.Y.
Times Photographer, for access to a
temporary photographer stands set up off
the field. The holes in the ticket were punched
for each game attended. Games 1, 2, and
6 all played at Yankee Stadium. Game 7
not played.
